CD Review: KT Tunstall: Tiger Suit

Scottish-born singer-songwriter KT Tunstall released her latest CD, Tiger Suit, on October 5.  Her first single from the album, "Fade Like a Shadow" is already a top 20 hit.  KT's previous hit songs include - the Grammy-nominated "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree," "Suddenly I See," "Other Side of the World" or "Hold On."  She will be on tour this fall starting in Portland, OR on October 31 and ending in NYC on December 1.

My Thoughts

I love this CD!  I listen to it in my car while I'm out running errands and what not.  It keeps me in a good mood just driving along groovin' to it.  I've also added several of the songs to my "Happy" playlist that I created as a "pick me up" for when I'm down. While KY has her own unique sound, she reminds me of several of my favorite singer/songwriters like Carole King and Tori Amos.  I especially admire artists who write their own songs.  In my opinion their music just resonates, with raw feeling and an authenticity that can't be reached by recording songs written by others.

Disclosure:  I was not paid to give this review.  I received the CD to listen to and review thanks to One2One. I will be entered into a drawing  for a gift card with One2One Network for doing the review. All opinions are 100% my own, true thoughts.  I was not required to write a positive review.
